Sales, Employment and Wages in Large Companies (monthly reports)
Description
Large companies are natural or legal persons whose volume of operations has exceeded the figure of 6.01 million euros during the immediately preceding calendar year. They represent slightly less than 1 percent of the total VAT filers, but their weight in the turnover of total companies is more than 60 percent.
These companies are required to submit their returns on a monthly basis. In addition to the tax information, they provide information on the economic variables (sales, employment, wages) that allow the calculation of their tax obligations.
The result of the exploitation of these declarations (with the nuances detailed in the methodological notes) provides information on the monthly evolution of sales, exports, imports, employment and wages. This information is presented as series of index numbers, original and corrected seasonal and calendar variations (CVEC). In addition, for variables derived from VAT models, deflated information is also presented.
