Security incidents (Remarkable Security Events - RSE) from January 2015 to December 2022
Description
The Security Incident Dataset provides the description and location of all outstanding security events from January 2015 to December 2022.
From January 2023, SNCF decided to monitor the EPSF steering indicator in order to promote comparisons with all rail operators and promote a common vision of safety.
The new dataset following the EPSF indicator is available here:
Only safety events involving a malfunction of the railway system, whether of internal or external origin, are listed in this file.
An ESR is a safety incident related to the actual movement of a train which endangers, or threatens to endanger, the lives of persons transported and in the vicinity of railway installations (including staff, employees of service providers and subcontractors).
NB: there is no ESR for freight in 2019.
