Description

Geometry describing traffic flows. Line geometry. For municipal road network only. Operations Analysis & Dialogue, Traffic Planning, Traffic Office. The traffic flow map contains data on traffic volumes in Stockholm divided into light and heavy vehicles, per daily average day and for a certain period of time over the day. Data refer to 2014-2015, which means that Norra Länken is not included . The traffic volumes are compiled by the Traffic Office from several different sources including the company's own measurements, the congestion tax system, the MCS system (Motorway Control System) on E4/E18/E20 and others. The traffic flow map is comprehensive, which means that a large proportion of the road network has interpolated traffic volumes, or standard values. It mainly concerns low-traffic road networks in, for example, residential areas. Interpolation means that streets without measured flows are assigned a flow depending on the surrounding streets that have measured traffic volumes. The percentage in parentheses is the share of heavy traffic. Traffic volumes in the north-east inner city should be checked with the Traffic Office
