Roubaix, with a rich heritage, has been committed to a voluntary and ambitious policy of reconquest, conservation, restoration and valorisation of its heritage for more than twenty years.
In 2001, the City and the State signed the City of Art and History Convention which accompanies the creation of the Remarkable Heritage Site, also created in 2001, in a strong approach to protecting and enhancing heritage.
