Air quality – Number of days exceeded – NO2 – PM10 – O3

Description

**Set of data determining the number of days for each pollutant, Nitrogen Dioxide(NO2) – Particles (PM10) – Ozone (O3) where the information and warning thresholds have been exceeded.** The information and alert procedure in case of peak pollution applies to 3 pollutants: Ozone (O3) – Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) – particulate matter (PM10). The procedure is triggered in fact for a pollutant upon finding that the corresponding threshold has been exceeded or on the basis of the forecast of a risk of exceedance emitted by Airparif. In France, an interministerial order defines the procedure for informing and alerting in the event of an episode of pollution. This procedure is declined by an interpretive order for Île-de-France. The information threshold corresponds to a level of concentration of pollutants in the atmosphere beyond which short-term exposure poses a risk to human health of particularly sensitive populations within the general population. **Level of information and recommendation:** **** **** | **Nitrogen dioxide (NO2)** | **Ozone (O3)** | **Particles (PM10)** —|---|— Level of information and recommendation | **200 µg/m³** (hourly average) (en) | **180 µg/m³** (hourly average) | **50 µg/m³** Average over the period between 0 and 24 hours (en) **** __ _NB: The reference (en) specifies the thresholds defined only in the French regulations, and not those present in the European directives_ _ _ **Peak Pollution Alert Threshold:** The alert threshold is a level of concentration of pollutants in the atmosphere beyond which short-term exposure poses a risk to the health of the entire population or to environmental degradation. | **Nitrogen dioxide (NO2)** **** | **Ozone (O3)** **** | **Particles (PM10)** **** —|---|— Alert threshold | **400 µg/m³** or **** **200 µg/m³** (hourly average) If the information and recommendation procedure has been triggered the day before and if the forecasts give rise to a new risk of triggering the next day.
