Description

**Dataset determines the number of days when air quality is considered “good” to “extremely bad”, based on the new ATMO index on 1 January 2021.** The ATMO index was revised and adopted by the Ministry of Ecological Transition on January 1, 2021. The ATMO index integrates the main regulated air pollutants, tracers of transport, urban and industrial activities PM10, PM2.5, nitrogen dioxide, ozone, sulphur dioxide. It is divided into six qualifiers defined according to different classes for these five pollutants: “good”, “average”, “degraded”, “bad”, “very bad”, “extremely bad”. For each pollutant, a sub-index is calculated. Each sub-index shall be determined daily from the maximum levels of the pollutant concerned. It is the maximum sub-index that constitutes the final ATMO index characterising the overall air quality of the day in question.
