Description
**Localisation of voluntary collection points for glass.**
Like the white bin the glass columns are used to collect the glass packaging so that they are recycled.
Today there are more than a thousand glass columns installed on the public highway, on the surface, and 70 glass columns buried. The same waste can be placed there as in the white bin (glass packaging: pots, bottles and jars. Special attention has been paid to their soundproofing device. In addition, most glass columns have lowered openings to make them more accessible to people with reduced mobility.
**What do we put in the white bin and glass columns?**
· bottles, jars, glass bottles (drinks, oil, canned, jam, etc.). They must be empty, but it is useless to rinse them.
· good to know: the metal caps and lids, capsules... are accepted in the yellow bin, they will be recycled.
Mistakes to avoid:
· dishes, windows, mirrors, earthenware, porcelain, drinking glasses or walking glasses, candle holders, etc. should not be mixed with the glass packaging and go into the green bin. Indeed, they melt at a higher temperature and risk forming defects in new bottles made from recycled glass.
· the bulbs do not go into the white bin. You can bring them, even broken, to many large stores or DIY stores that put dedicated collection bins at your disposal.
