Commission du Vieux Paris – Educated addresses
Description
**Data set referencing addresses (files to be examined) presented to the Commission of Old Paris since 2005, specifies the wishes if any and gives access from 2006 to the meeting documents.**
The Commission du Vieux Paris is an advisory committee. The mission of this committee is to advise the Mayor of Paris on the protection of Parisian heritage in its historical, artistic, aesthetic, archaeological, architectural and urban aspects.

**The Old Paris Commission – Historical:**
In 1897, a Commission of Old Paris was set up in the Prefecture of the Seine “to search for the remains of old Paris, to ascertain their present condition, to ensure, as far as possible, their conservation, to follow, day by day, the excavations that may be undertaken and the transformations deemed necessary, and to preserve authentic proofs of them” Procès-verbal de la Commission du Vieux Paris, 28 January 1898.
Since 2003, the 55 members have served for the duration of the term of office, in accordance with the requirements of the General Code of Territorial Communities. The Commission shall be chaired by the Mayor of Paris, ex officio member, or his representative. 14 elected representatives representing all political groups are appointed by the Paris Council. Qualified personalities are appointed by the Mayor of Paris.
On October 24, 2014, La Maire de Paris unveiled the composition of the Commission du Vieux Paris. It respects gender parity.
