**Dataset on the exposure of Parisians to exceedances of night-time or full-day thresholds for road noise: **these data make it possible to know annually the number of Parisians subject to an exceedance of the regulatory threshold for the night (Ln) or for a full day (Lden) These data were determined using the CNOSSOS method. _CNOSSOS Method_ _(Common NOise aSSessment methOdS)_ The CNOSSOS method, taken over by European Directive 2015/996 of 19 May 2015, aims to provide a common noise assessment model for the various countries of Europe. It specifies in Annex II to the Directive the sound propagation algorithms applicable to road noise, industrial noise, rail noise and air traffic noise. This average noise level is weighted during the day by giving a stronger weight to the noise produced in the evening (18-22h) (+ 5 dB(A)) and during the night (22h-6h) (+10 dB(A)) to take into account the increased sensitivity of individuals to noise nuisance during these two periods. Thus, this indicator is calculated on the basis of the equivalent levels over the three basic periods: day, evening and night to which a weighting is added according to the period of the day · Ln (level night): European index characterising the average noise of a transport infrastructure at night, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., in dB(A) and 2 m on the façade.
