Description

The Department promotes the controlled development of nature sports. To this end, it draws up a departmental plan of spaces, sites and routes relating to nature sports (Article R311-3 of the Sports Code). This plan includes the departmental plan of walking and hiking routes as a network (PDIPR) and promotes sites and routes for sports and leisure activities in the natural environment for canyoning, orienteering, climbing, fishing, horseback riding, snowshoeing, ski touring, caving, trail running, free flight and mountain biking. The sites registered in the PDESI benefit from financial support from the Department and an adapted management plan integrating sporting, environmental, economic and tourist issues, cohabitation and security. The Department undertakes to: * Monitor and maintain places of practice in order to maintain access to a quality offer * Ensure compliance with property rights and current regulations * Facilitate spaces for consultation, and where necessary initiate mediation, in order to promote the sharing of space between nature users and ensure the protection of wild fauna and flora * Bring the PDESI to the attention of the administrative authorities: in the event of works or measures likely to affect the listed sites, the CDESI must be consulted in order to issue recommendations The PDESI site guides can be found on the Isère Outdoor website and application:
