Number of fish species, number of individuals, counted on the analysis stations of Hauts-de-Seine since 2009 * * * The Department participates in the monitoring of the hydrobiological status of the Seine within the framework of the "Plan for sustainable development and management of the Seine and its banks" adopted by the Departmental Assembly on 24 February 2006. The Seine can indeed be impacted locally by the bank developments made by the Department, and some developments can also be effective and improve the quality of the local aquatic environment such as the creation of spawning grounds along the river. Since 2009, a multi-annual programme of measures has been jointly established with the State services (DRIEAT, OFB, AESN) and SIAAP. Sampling stations are spread over the 39 km of linear Seine that the Department has. In 2015 and 2017, two new stations strengthened this historic network in order to identify more specifically the impact of bank developments as part of the "Left Bank Valley" project and in Nanterre on the fish compartment. Since 2020, in order to meet even more operational needs, the stations monitored are intended to evolve regularly with regard to the sanitation works and bank improvements carried out or planned at the right of the banks of the Seine. Each year, stations can be newly created, continued or abandoned. Each of the sites monitored is analyzed for fish spawning quality and fish productivity by a fry fishery during the summer. These results are highly dependent on climatic conditions and can be very variable from one station to another due to very different environments. In particular, the degraded climatic conditions in 2021 did not allow this monitoring to be carried out on the scheduled stations. In 2022, fish monitoring could only be carried out on four of the seven planned hydrobiological stations: \- two historic stations (Meudon - 1 and Issy les Moulineaux - 1bis) to monitor the impacts of the RD7 developments; \- two new stations (Boulogne Billancourt - downstream tip of the Ile Seguin and Clichy - between the Pont de Clichy and the Pont de Gennevilliers) for hydrobiological monitoring of the banks of the Seine. The stations located in Gennevilliers and Colombes could not be the subject of an electric fishing authorization because of the realization of other inventories of the same type on behalf of SIAAP and OFB. **Lexico** Frai The term spawning covers several things related to the reproduction of fish and amphibians.
