Legislative boundaries of the department of Hauts-de-Seine * * * Each Member is elected in a constituency whose boundaries are set, within the overseas departments and communities, by the electoral code on demographic bases: constituencies must represent a comparable number of inhabitants in order to respect the principle of equality before the vote. There are 577 constituencies, eleven of which, since Ordinance No. 2009-935 of 29 July 2009, concern French people living abroad. Since 2012, they have been able to nominate Members for the first time. The department of Hauts-de-Seine, since its creation on January 1, 1968, consists of thirteen legislative constituencies, whose boundaries were redefined during the electoral redistribution of 1986 and 2010. **Special comments** This dataset consists of: * Legislative constituencies that have been in force since 2010 in the Hauts-de-Seine. * Former legislative constituencies from 1986 to 2010 (see "Export" tab >> "Alternative exports" section).
