Approvals for adoption issued within one year

This dataset includes the number of approvals for adoption applied for and issued in the year and the number of approvals valid on 31 December per municipality of residence of applicants or approved persons. The interdepartmental department of approvals and adoptions of the Departments of Hauts-de-Seine and Yvelines is competent to examine the application for approval for adoption, a prerequisite for adopting a French or foreign child, of any person residing in Hauts-de-Seine and Yvelines. The decision is taken by the President of the Department. Once granted, approval is granted for a period of five years. It is valid throughout the territory but in case of relocation the approved person must have his file transferred to the department of his new home. Each year, on the anniversary of his approval, the approved person must confirm the continuation of his project and his choice to apply to adopt a child ward.
