Diabetes mortality in men in the Basque Country (1996-2003)

Description

Diabetes mellitas (CIE-9: 250 and CIE10: E10-E14)* ranked eleventh in the ranking of causes of death, with 2 % of total deaths. During the period 1990-2004, mortality from diabetes has hardly changed. The areas of the CAPV with the highest mortality are located in the northeast and northwest of the community, highlighting sections with higher risk in the Donostia-San Sebastián region in Gipuzkoa and the Encartaciones in Bizkaia.
