Description
Organic, senile, and presenile mental disorders, along with Alzheimer’s disease (ICD-9: 290, 331.0; ICD-10:F00-F09, G30* represented the third leading cause of death among women, with 8 % of total deaths. In the period 1990-2004 mortality from these causes has increased annually, on average, by 4.0 %. In the CAPV the areas of highest mortality are mainly located in the capitals and their border areas.
