Description
Lung cancer (CIE-9: 162 and CIE10: C33-C34)* was the second leading cause of death and accounted for 8.2 % of total deaths. Between 1990 and 2004 it decreased by 0.7 per cent annually. At the level of CAPV, the territorial distribution of lung cancer mortality followed a marked socio-economic pattern, with clusters of higher-risk sections in industrialised or economically disadvantaged areas.
