Herbario VIT - Mycotheca (Museum of Natural History of Álava) - Euskadi Nature Information System

VIT herbarium-Mycotheca contains ca. 17,700 leaves belonging to 1,700 taxa. It started in 1972. Approximately half of this collection (Micoteca General) was gathered by a large group of collectors integrated into the Grupo Micológico 111 association (Antonio Esteban, Luis Manso, Xabier de Olano, Vivencio Martínez Irigoyen, José Luis García Alija, Isabel Salcedo, Fernando Valluerca, Conrado Albandoz, Esther Abad, Eduardo Benguría and Luis Ma Iriarte). Other collectors to highlight are Germán Bastida, Paulino Elorza and Daniel Apilánez. The other half of the collection is the personal collection of Luis Manso (Micoteca Luis Manso), donated to the Museum of Natural Sciences of Álava. Here the data corresponding to the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country have been imported from Gbif.
