Description
Geomorphological map of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country at a scale of 1:25,000 (year 1999). This map has been prepared from the Analytical Geomorphological Studies carried out by the Provincial Councils and the Basque Government between 1984 and 1994. The cartography represents the forms of the earth, this is the remarkable features that are the result of the action of the external geological agents: water, wind, ice,... on the earth's crust. For a better analysis of these forms and the processes that generate them, they are usually grouped in the so-called geomorphological systems: alluvial or fluvial, of slopes, estuarine, littoral or marine, karst, glacier and anthropogenic.
