Description
Statistics from population surveys in relation to activity only allow for population analyses at high levels of aggregation. More detailed analysis would require access to administrative data. In the case of the unemployed population, this level of analysis is carried out through the data of jobseekers registered by the public employment services. For the analysis of the occupation it would be necessary to access the data of members in labor registration registered in the Social Security system. Given the difficulties in accessing this level of information, the Social Security makes available to researchers The Continuous Sample of Working Lives (MCVL) which is an extract of anonymized individual data, from the Social Security databases, to which are added others that are taken from the Continuous Municipal Register (INE).
