#### Summary:
History of the availability of the French nuclear park.
The Kd, or availability coefficient, represents the available energy reported to the maximum theoretical energy, corresponding to an operation at the installed capacity throughout the year.
#### Details:
Availability of a power plant:
Fraction of the power available on the maximum theoretical power taking into account only technical unavailability. The availability coefficient (Kd) is defined as the ratio between the annual real production capacity (or annual output) and the maximum theoretical production capacity (= installed capacity × 8760 hours). The Kd, which takes into account only technical unavailability, namely scheduled shutdowns, accidental downtimes and test periods, characterises the industrial performance of a power plant.
KD translates the overall behavior of the materials. Load limitations for external causes and for internal causes not related to the equipment or operation of the tranche shall not be taken into account for the calculation of this rate.
