Description
This dataset presents local elected officials at the level of municipalities, EPCI, departments and regions (mayors, municipal councillors, community councillors at the level of EPCI, departmental and regional councillors).
These data come from the National Register of Elected Officials (RNE), which is kept up-to-date by the prefectures and the departments of the Ministry of the Interior, in particular on the basis of information provided by elected officials during the registration phase of applications.
The files posted online are updated quarterly.
Data relating to the profession are declarative.
Requests for rectification must be sent directly by email to the prefecture with territorial jurisdiction (pref-rne-contact@nom[-du-departement.gouv.fr](http://-du-departement.gouv.fr/)). No request for rectification sent on the platform [www.data.gouv.fr] (https://www.data.gouv.fr/) will be taken into account. Corrections made in the RNE will not be immediately posted on the platform [www.data.gouv.fr] (https://www.data.gouv.fr/), but will be taken into account for the next publication.
**Enrichment and corrections**
* addition of region and EPCI codes and labels when applicable
* addition of the codes and labels of the municipalities associated with the various EPCIs where possible
* deletion of wrong dates (<1900)
