Flash sensor data - real-time
Description
The service provides information about lightning discharges in Sweden. When a lightning discharge has occurred and the information has reached SMHI, the information is forwarded with push technology via web-sockets until those who use the service.
To interpret the raw sensor data, the consumer needs a so-called "Total Lightning Processor, TLP".
The URL of the service, wss://data-push.smhi.se/mqtt, is not available via web browser. See the API documentation for instructions on how to connect.
DELIVERY: The push service for lightning data is accessed via web service for a delivery fee. Data should be saved before further use. Send an email to kundtjanst@smhi.se to order.
Coordinates: Data is delivered for lightning sensors in Sweden.
Use: At SMHI, lightning data is used in the warning service and investigations.
FORMAT: Data is delivered in binary format.
