Month of the Digital Collection of Bordeaux Métropole
Description
Bordeaux Métropole organizes every year since 2024 the Month of Digital Collection in March, in which the municipalities of the metropolis participate.
Backed by the World Digital Cleanup Day, the _**Digital Collection Month**_ aims to create a collective dynamic around responsible digital technology. It aims to make the general public aware of the environmental footprint of digital technology, encouraging everyone to take concrete action by offering a second life to as many of their equipment as possible.
In March each year, **collection points** are therefore deployed on the metropolitan territory offering the inhabitants of the Metropolis the opportunity to deposit their obsolete, unused or end-of-life electrical and electronic equipment.
The collected equipment will be entrusted to local partners of Bordeaux Métropole, for reconditioning if possible, or recycling.
Various **animations** are also offered to the general public to raise awareness of the socio-environmental impacts of digital technology.
