The objective of this survey is to better understand the digital inequalities of inhabitants, their relationship to digital, the place of digital in their daily lives, and their possible difficulties in the use of the internet and digital. These results can be analysed flat, or by crossovers (by typology of respondents, territories, thematic questions...). This survey and the resulting analyses can better identify the digital inequalities of inhabitants of Bordeaux Métropole, and better target the actions and public policies of digital inclusion of the territory. This dataset presents thematic data (answers to questions on the topic of digital, often multi-choice) and data on respondents’ profiles (sociodemographic variables and domiciliation). The data were collected by Tryom as the provider of Bordeaux Métropole; the survey was carried out by telephone between May and June 2023, by professional teams of teleinvestigators trained in this investigation. This survey was carried out with a sample of 5008 inhabitants, representative of each of the 28 municipalities of Bordeaux Métropole. The methodology and sampling were carried out using the quota method (quotas on each of the sociological variables of age, gender and socio-occupational category by territory). A complementary adjustment to that of the municipalities was then applied to all of these variables so that the overall analysis corresponds to the sociological characteristics of the metropolitan territory. Thus, to analyse the results in a representative way, it is necessary to apply a recovery coefficient for each respondent (respondent weight according to the quota method). The column “nb_reponses_redressees” exposes this adjustment coefficient. With this method, and on a sample of more than 5000 individuals, we obtain a confidence index of ± 1.1 points. This means, for example, that for an overall result of 80 % on an issue, there is a 95 % chance that the result on the total population of Bordeaux Métropole is actually between 78.9 % and 81.1 %. The maintenance of the dataset is carried out by the teams of the Directorate-General for Digital and Information Systems of Bordeaux Métropole, and its Digital Inclusion Center. The dataset may be updated following another similar survey in subsequent years (periodicity exceeding an annual frequency due to balance between the costs of such a survey and the input of new results and new lessons over time). The GDPR compliance of these survey data is ensured through data collection and processing protocols. No direct personal identification of respondents was also collected from respondents.
