Educational Resource — Secondary Education Language — UD10. MEDIEVAL SPANISH LITERATURE

Description

In this unit, medieval Spanish literature is studied. An approach is made to the historical and social context of the Middle Ages to understand the medieval mentality reflected in literary works. The literary genres cultivated in this period are analysed, as well as the most representative authors and works. The characteristics of the Spanish epic and the Song of Mio Cid are determined to establish the traits of the epic hero in general and the Cid in particular.
