Description

In this unit the definition of text is studied. The types of texts, the characteristics of oral and written texts, emphasising their common features, taking into account the communicative situation, in particular, the academic field. The contents related to the reading and comprehensive listening of oral and written texts, their written composition and their exhibition and reading aloud are developed. For this it is necessary to know the basic mechanisms of adequacy, coherence and cohesion of oral and written texts.
