Whole numbers appear in everyday situations such as temperature reading or when choosing which button to press on the elevator. However, they are a new concept to work in the third cycle and for some students may lead to difficulties in their understanding.
We will provide our students with situations in everyday life in which they have to interpret values expressed in whole numbers and must work individually or cooperatively to solve these problems.
