Annual regional renewable energy production (2008 to 2023)

Description

This dataset presents annual regional renewable energy production in France (GWh) for electricity since 2008 and since 2015 for gas. For biomethane, these are the quantities injected into the gas networks (distribution and transmission networks) in France counted at the transport/distribution interface points and then distributed among the regions with adequate distribution keys. The injections are therefore affected by these distribution keys and not exactly associated with those of each site. According to the Order of 8 November 2007 adopted pursuant to Article 2 of Decree No 2006-1118 of 5 September 2006 on guarantees of origin for electricity produced from renewable energy sources or by cogeneration’, the renewable part is calculated as follows: * Hydraulic: 70% of the consumption related to pumping is subtracted. * Bioenergy: The production of domestic waste incineration plants is accounted for at 50%.
