Greenhouse gas emissions balance by scope and operator
Description
The Greenhouse Gas Emissions Balance (BEGES) is a carbon footprint that includes both direct and indirect emissions from an organisation’s activities. The partners have chosen to take into account a broad scope with, in particular, indirect emissions related to the life cycle of their industrial and tertiary heritage.
* Scope 3 that corresponds to other indirect GHG emissions is not displayed here. This dataset presents GHG emissions in kt eq. CO2 for each of the emission sources for scope 1 and 2.
* Scope 1 corresponds to direct GHG emissions: fixed and mobile greenhouse gas sources controlled by the operator.
* Scope 2 is the indirect GHG emissions associated with energy:
derived from the production of electricity, heat or steam purchased and consumed by the operator for its activities.
