Limnic water-type regions
Description
Sweden has been divided into four different regions to facilitate the work on typing lakes and streams. The four regions are divided by a border between northern and southern Sweden, 800 metres above sea level in northern Sweden, 200 metres above sea level in northern Sweden and the region in between. The map layer shall be an aid for the typing of reporting and water bodies according to the Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management Regulations (HVMFS 2017:20) on the mapping and analysis of surface water in accordance with the Ordinance (2004:660) on the management of the quality of the aquatic environment.
