Estimated household costs, food items
Description
The Consumer Agency annually calculates some of the most common household costs that together account for about one third of the total household costs.
The calculations cover both individual and household common costs and are based on a basic need for goods and services needed to cope with everyday life, regardless of household income.
Here you can find out which articles are included in the calculations for food costs. The articles are divided into sub-groups such as vegetables, fruit and berries, fish, meat and chark, etc. The files list the estimated unit price (kg). The calculations are based on the Swedish Consumer Agency’s food bill, which is a four-week nutritional and climate-calculated food bill that covers the daily need for energy and nutrition.
