Accessibility map – Buildings

Description

Important institutions and other selected objects with information on barrier-free accessibility for persons with reduced mobility (carriages, parents with prams, etc.). These include medical facilities (hospitals, surgeries and pharmacies), cultural objects (gallery, theatres, concert halls, cinemas, libraries, churches, etc.), authorities, financial institutions (banks, ATMs, insurance companies), department stores, restaurants and cafés, hotels, sports grounds, family points and public toilets. The data includes contact details for buildings (address, telephone, website), and for some buildings, detailed information on access and movement within the building, barrier-free toilets, etc. In addition, medical facilities contain other very detailed information. It describes access to the building from public transport, parking, the nearest pharmacy (if located in the building or near it), whether there is a park or refreshments in the area. Furthermore, the data contain information about the information system (navigation around the building) and other especially health-social services. Determination of accessibility of objects is based on the Methodology of categorization of accessibility of objects from the Prague Organization of Wheelchair Users. For a more detailed explanation, see the detailed legend for the map application. Descriptive data (in addition to information on healthcare facilities) are also available in English. All objects except medical facilities are mapped only in the city center of Brno, medical facilities are mapped throughout the city of Brno. The data are updated every 3 years, or continuously if an error is detected. Related to these data is the Accessibility Map - Building Inputs data set. The data are displayed in the Brno Accessibility Map application. Through this application, it is possible to point out errors in data and propose mapping of new buildings. Furthermore, the data are also displayed in the printed publications "Accessibility Atlas of the Brno City Centre for Persons with Reduced Mobility" and "Accessibility Atlas of Medical Facilities in the City of Brno" published by the Brno City Hall.
