Geological risks - Landfills and anthropogenic deposits

Description

These are mainly former field depressions, which were in the past illegally or spontaneously, regardless of environmental protection, loaded with waste. In the case of foundation of objects above the landfill body, it is advisable to verify the extent and composition of the landfill material and the potential content of hazardous components as part of an engineering-geological survey. In the landfill area there is a real risk of impaired geomechanical properties of the foundation soil of the designed buildings, including its percolation, in the vicinity of the landfills may be contaminated groundwater. The data includes a description of the site where the landfill is located, a number from the report "Identification of old landfills and loads on the territory of the city of Brno" (Hlavinková, 1998, 1999, 2005), a brief description of larger landfills (when they were established, current status, deposited material) and bibliographic references to the reports related to the landfill. The data are part of the passport of geology, hydrogeology and engineering geology (now Georisks) of the city of Brno, which was created in 2004 and is always updated by an external company at the end of the year. General was created for employees of the authorities who professionally comment on investment projects, project documentation or issue decisions according to the relevant laws (Building Act, Water Act). It is now also used by contributory organizations (e.g. KAM) and provided as a basis for the processing of studies commissioned by the Statutory City of Brno (SMB). More detailed information can be found in the documentation. The data is in the GCS WGS84 coordinate system.
