Geological risks - Watercourses

Description

The data set is part of the data focusing on the hydrogeology of the territory. There are layers depicting the course of watercourses Svratka, Svitava and Ponávka in the present and at the same time the original troughs of these watercourses before their straightening and regulation. Due to the reduced quality of historical documents, the original route of the flows is only indicative. Further layers shall contain information on the depth interval at which the groundwater level is located at hydrogeological wells and wells and data on the conditions for construction extending below the groundwater level, which may change the groundwater regime in the long term, with references to the materials and studies used. It also includes a layer containing graphically depicted expected directions of groundwater flow. The data are part of the passport of geology, hydrogeology and engineering geology (now Georisks) of the city of Brno, which was created in 2004 and is always updated by an external company at the end of the year. General was created for employees of the authorities who professionally comment on investment projects, project documentation or issue decisions according to the relevant laws (Building Act, Water Act). It is now also used by contributory organizations (e.g. KAM) and provided as a basis for the processing of studies commissioned by the Statutory City of Brno (SMB). More detailed information can be found in the documentation. The data is in the GCS WGS84 coordinate system.
