Major parks and green areas

Description

The data set contains information about the most important areas of greenery in the city of Brno. Their demarcation is part of the ‘List of areas of the most important greenery in the city of Brno, the area of which must not be reduced’, which forms an annex to the generally binding Decree No 15/2007 on the protection of greenery in the city of Brno. These include areas of the most important urban parks, as well as smaller parks or green public spaces or larger areas of urban greenery, such as insulating or settlement areas, which play a crucial role throughout the city. The data includes the name and number of the area, accessibility, and a note with the description and status of the area. Part of it is of course the area of individual surfaces and their graphic representation. If it is necessary to change the area of the building or other activity, it is necessary to proceed in accordance with Article 3 of the generally binding Decree No. 15/2007 on the protection of greenery in the city of Brno. An applicant for an exemption may be the department of the MMB in whose jurisdiction the relevant building belongs, or the mayor of the city district in whose cadastre the building is located. The project documentation, including the bill of quantities and the justification for the need to intervene in the area, must be submitted for the opinion of the OŽP MMB, the Department for the Protection and Creation of Greenery, the relevant city districts, the RMB Environmental Commission and the RMB and ZMB according to the procedure for submitting materials to the Brno City Council and the Brno City Council. Data management and spatial demarcation are the responsibility of the Department of Environment, Department of Protection and Creation of Greenery. An update of exemptions from a significant area of greenery is recorded as soon as the entire approval process and subsequent implementation is completed. The data are displayed in the public map application Urban Greenery and in the internal map application Creation and Protection of Greenery.
