Description

The Register of Territorial Identification, Addresses and Real Estate (RÚIAN) is one of the four basic registers of the Czech Republic, its functioning is regulated by Act No. 111/2009 Coll., on Basic Registers, as amended. It is fully functional from 1. 7. 2012. The administrator of RÚIAN is the Czech Office for Surveying, Mapping and Cadastre (ČÚZK). It is part of the Public Administration Information System. RÚIAN keeps descriptive and location data on territorial elements, territorial registration units, purposeful territorial elements, their links and addresses. From the point of view of public administration, the most important reference element of RÚIAN is the address to which other public administration information systems refer. Within the RÚIAN project, the agenda-based Information System for Territorial Identification (ISÚI) operates. The ISÚI records new and updates or deletes existing records in the RÚIAN. Editors of territorial elements are, in addition to the registry administrator, municipalities, building authorities and the CZSO. For the internal needs of the city of Brno, a data layer of specific building object numbers (Object Identification Point - IBO) was created in addition to RÚIAN. These numbers ensure the unambiguous identification and localization of even those buildings in the city that are not covered by any of the existing territorial identifications. These are: Area number - is used for detailed localization of objects in areas and is assigned to buildings that lie in them and do not have a descriptive or registration number. The number consists of the number of the descriptive main building of the complex (usually a gatehouse, administrative centre, etc.) and an additional identifier – the so-called suffix – within the complex. The suffix can take alphabetic, alphanumeric and numeric values. The building number allows the localization of objects that do not have any standard territorial identification number (or area number) and is assigned to all buildings that have been identified as building objects (chalets, chimneys, chapels, regulatory stations, small building objects, garages, ...). This data layer is maintained in the Territorial Identification Registry application. The data is in the GCS WGS84 coordinate system.
