Major landscape features

Description

Data was created at Ageris in the 1990s. Since then, they have been updated by the Department of the Environment (OŽP) of the Brno City Hall. The data are a by-product of the regulation to register important landscape features of interest (SCI) and are used for the management of SCI and for activities in zoning and construction proceedings. Significant landscape elements are, according to Act No. 114/1992 Coll., on Nature and Landscape Protection, ecologically, geomorphologically or aesthetically valuable part of the landscape forming its typical appearance or contributing to maintaining its stability. The data contain only so-called registered significant landscape features - they do not include areas that are significant landscape features by law automatically (forests, watercourses,... ). The registration is approved by the Brno City Council, the data are created by the OŽP of the Brno City Hall. The data includes reasons for protection, description of the ecotope, biological and geological characteristics, possible threat, method of protection, management plans, type (geological, zoological, botanical), habitat description - ecotope, justification. The data is displayed in the Nature Protection application. More detailed information can be found in the documentation. The data is in the GCS WGS84 coordinate system.
