Geological risks - Horizontal drilling

Description

The data set is part of the data focusing on the engineering-geological characteristics of the territory. It is solved on three levels. In the first layer, the entire territory of Brno is indicatively divided into areas in terms of foundation conditions. The data provide initial information on whether it is an area with simple or complex foundation conditions, both for ordinary buildings and for demanding buildings, and data on the possible occurrence of risk factors (slope instability and very powerful detritus). In the second layer are marked areas of already documented slope instability and rockfalls with detailed information on the nature of engineering-geological risk, the degree of activity of the landslide, the limitation of construction activity and remediation measures. The third layer includes drilling exploration of the territory. Data for engineering-geological wells include well documentation (exact location, terrain height, groundwater level data) and a petrographic description of the affected rocks with their geotechnical classification (volume weight, deformation module – Edef, load-bearing capacity of the foundation soil – Rdt). The data are part of the passport of geology, hydrogeology and engineering geology (now Georisks) of the city of Brno, which was created in 2004 and is always updated by an external company at the end of the year. General was created for employees of the authorities who professionally comment on investment projects, project documentation or issue decisions according to the relevant laws (Building Act, Water Act). It is now also used by contributory organizations (e.g. KAM) and provided as a basis for the processing of studies commissioned by the Statutory City of Brno (SMB).
