Viewpoints

English description below. The data set contains points of viewpoints, which was the input for the visibility analysis performed in Denisa Konvalinová's bachelor thesis at Mendel University. In the thesis, among other things, the attribute "kulturni_dominanty" was evaluated - how many points from the dataset "Building dominants / Building landmarks" can the observer see from individual viewpoints. The analysis was carried out in QGIS using the LoS Tools plugin on the basis of a digital surface model (the current version is available here). Coordinate system: GCS WGS84 (EPSG 4326).Explanation of the attribute "type_mista" - "view_mista": views of the city's veduta, especially the city's historical core with its most important landmarks; "Potentialni_mista": a place that could in the future be a point of view of the vedute of the city, if the vegetation is modified or its accessibility to the public is improved; "Vyhlidkove_body": Dataset contains points of viewpoints in the city of Brno which served as an input for visibility analysis conducted in bachelor thesis (Denisa Konvalinová, Mendel University in Brno). Thesis evaluated how many building landmarks (dataset Building landmarks) can be seen from analysed viewpoints. Analysis was made using QGIS software, plugin LoS Tools and digital surface model (most recent version available here).Coordinate system: GCS WGS84 (EPSG 4326).
