Brownfields (development sites)

Demarcation of areas defined as brownfields. Brownfields are defined as "areas within an urbanized area that have lost their original function, are completely or partially abandoned or minimally used." These may include industrial, agricultural, military and railway sites, as well as public facilities (e.g. health care facilities, sports facilities, etc.). They physically and economically negatively affect their surroundings and, as a result of their original activities, they are likely to be contaminated or otherwise devastated, which reduces their attractiveness for future use."
