Historical meteorological data measured in the network of CHMI stations - monthly
Description
Monthly climatological characteristics (average, total, maximum, minimum, number of characteristic days) are derived from daily climatological characteristics. Average, maximum and minimum values are calculated on condition that no more than 5 values are missing in a given month and no more than three consecutive days are missing. The sum is calculated under the condition that all measured data over a given period of time are available. Availability of characteristics varies according to the observing program of the stations. The list of observed elements at individual stations is given in the metadata of the stations. The following climatological characteristics are processed: air temperature, maximum air temperature, minimum air temperature, ground air temperature, relative air humidity, water vapour pressure, saturation supplement, air pressure, air pressure reduced to sea level, duration of sunshine, cloud cover, precipitation amount, snow cover height, water value, wind direction and speed, maximum wind gust, soil temperature at 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 cm.
