Meteorological data measured in the network of CHMI stations for the period 1961-2023, wind speed
Description
In accordance with Act No. 123/1998 Coll. on the right to information on the environment, the CHMI made available the daily, monthly and annual climatological characteristics of the basic meteorological elements measured at stations administered by the CHMI for the period 1961-2023.The average daily wind speed is calculated as the average of the wind speed in climatic terms 7, 14 and 21 hours local mean solar time. It is given in m/s. The maximum wind speed is the maximum wind speed measured on a given day, it is given in m/s. The direction of the maximum wind speed is given in degrees, indicating the direction (world side) from which the wind is blowing at the time when the maximum wind speed was reached. The time to reach the maximum wind speed is given with an accuracy of one minute.
