Meteorological data measured in the network of CHMI stations for the period 1961-2023, snow
Description
In accordance with Act No. 123/1998 Coll. on the right to information on the environment, the CHMI made available the daily, monthly and annual climatological characteristics of basic meteorological elements measured at stations administered by the CHMI for the period 1961-2023. The height of newly fallen snow is a layer of snow or ice directly or indirectly formed as a result of the occurrence of solid precipitation (snow, hail, snow hail, snow grains, frozen rain, ice hail and ice, but not glacier) that fell between 7 a.m. on the previous day and 7 a.m. on the day of measurement. The total height of snow cover is the height of a layer of snow or ice resulting from the occurrence of solid precipitation. It is measured at 7 a.m. The height of the new snow and the total height of the snow cover are given in cm.
