INSPIRE - Network of installations for monitoring the water level and the quality of surface water and groundwater within the meaning of the Directive (2000/60/EC) in Wallonia (BE)

Description

This series of data layers covers the entire network of facilities for monitoring the level and quality of surface and groundwater in Wallonia. This INSPIRE compliant data meets the requirements of Directive 2000/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2000 establishing a framework for Community action in the field of water policy (Water Framework Directive or WFD). This network consists of the following sub-networks: - For groundwater: Stations for qualitative measurements and monitoring of groundwater depth (piezometric measurements) - For surface waters: Stations for qualitative measurements and monitoring of the water level of non-navigable watercourses (liminigraphic stations) of surface waters The details of these 4 specific subnets can be found in the dedicated descriptive sheets.
