INSPIRE - Tourist campsites for farm camping and caravanning in Wallonia (BE)

Description

This series of data layers compiles the information of tourist, farm and caravan campgrounds of the INSPIRE theme "Soil use" on the Walloon territory. The European Directive 2007/2/EC - INSPIRE Directive - establishes an infrastructure for spatial information in the European Community. INSPIRE applies to 34 thematic areas divided into 3 Annexes. This series includes the spatial data layers referring to land use (Annex 3.4). Within the meaning of the Directive, the theme "land use" covers "territories characterised by their intended functional dimension or their current and future socio-economic object (e.g. residential, industrial, commercial, agricultural, forestry, recreational)". A campground generally refers to tourist campgrounds, caravan sites and campgrounds on the farm. - Tourist campsites are defined by the Decree of 18 December 2003 as land used habitually or seasonally for the practice of tourist camping by one or more tourists. Does not cease to be a tourist campsite where the holder of the authorisation installs as an accessory fixed shelters, not used as permanent habitat; - On-farm campgrounds are tourist campgrounds used by a farm operator. This land depends on its use and does not accommodate any residential caravans; - Caravan pitches are pitches used in a usual or occasional way for the practice of camping-caravanning, namely using as a means of accommodation, by persons other than fairgrounds or nomads acting as such, one of the following mobile shelters: tent, road caravan, residential caravan without storey, motorhome or any other similar shelter, not designed to serve as a permanent dwelling. The caravan grounds must be used by more than 10 people at the same time or occupied by more than 3 shelters. A campsite requires a building permit for its infrastructure buildings. The types of campgrounds vary according to the number of pitches: - Type A: Less than 50 locations; - Type B: from 50 to 400 locations; - Type C: More than 400 locations. Each campsite is uniquely identified. An Access database contains administrative information from the files. A hypertext link included as an attribute of each campsite links to an application allowing to have additional information and to download the right-of-way in .kml format.
