INSPIRE - Digital Surface Model (MNS) 2018 photogrammetric - Relief of Wallonia (BE)

Description

Digital Surface Model (MNS) of Wallonia with a resolution of 1 m in accordance with INSPIRE specifications resulting from orthophoto acquisitions made between 05/05/2018 and 04/08/2018. Not to be confused with the MNS resulting from Lidar acquisitions. A Digital Surface Model (DSM) is a representation of the altitude of a given area and includes all elements located on the ground surface (buildings, bridges, vegetation, vehicles, etc.). This raster data provides information on the altitude (Z) at any point of the Walloon territory. A photogrammetric MNS is produced from the raw images used for the creation of orthophotos. It can therefore be used together with the ‘Orthophotos’ data from the same year of acquisition, in this case the ‘Orthophotos 2018’. The planimetric accuracy is less than the resolution of the MNS (1 m), and the altimetric accuracy is of the order of 0.75 m in absolute throughout the territory. The entire Walloon territory is covered.
