INSPIRE Basic geological data - Outcrops in Wallonia (BE)

This INSPIRE data layer contains information on outcrops in the framework of the Revision Programme of the Geological Map of Wallonia.

This INSPIRE compliant data is taken from the Basic Geological Data (GEOLOGY) - Series.

It contains information on outcrops: surface observations (quarries, slopes or rocky points) and geomorphological observations.
Each site is linked to a sheet containing descriptions and interpretations made by geologists.

Traces of the geological map are made on the topographic background IGN 1/10 000 (old version and old cutting - TOP10S; editions distributed between 1977 and 1993). Overlaying layers of the dataset with an inadequate IGN background can lead to geological misunderstandings.
