INSPIRE - Digital Surface Model (MNS) 2013-2014 - Relief de la Wallonie (BE)

Description

Digital Surface Model (MNS) of Wallonia complying with INSPIRE specifications resulting from Lidar acquisitions made between 12/12/2012 and 09/03/2014. A Digital Surface Model (DSM) is a representation of the altitude of a given area and includes all elements located on the ground surface (buildings, bridges, vegetation, vehicles, etc.). This raster data provides information on the altitude (Z) at any point of the Walloon territory. The acquisition of the data was carried out with Lidar technology. Some very small parts of the territory (particularly water bodies) could not be the subject of data acquisition by the LiDAR method. Nevertheless, to provide information on altimetry (Z) in these areas, an interpolation was carried out to ensure continuity throughout Wallonia. The planimetric accuracy is less than the resolution of the MNS (1 m), and the altimetric accuracy is of the order of 0.12 m in absolute throughout the territory.
