INSPIRE - Groundwater depth stations within the meaning of Directive (2000/60/EC) in Wallonia (BE)

Description

This INSPIRE compliant data layer includes the piezometric measurement stations operated in Wallonia. These stations make it possible to assess the quantitative status of groundwater bodies by meeting the requirements of Directive 2000/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 October 2000 establishing a framework for Community action in the field of water policy (Water Framework Directive or WFD). This network makes it possible to know locally the depth at which the groundwater is located at a given time and to monitor the evolution of the groundwater level. The results of its stations are available on the PIEZ'EAU website.
