Description
Data on the annual cost and per capita per type of waste treatment collected in the territory of Grand Chambéry since 2017.
The community of agglomeration, Grand Chambéry exercises the competence of collection and treatment of waste. The main services provided to the population of the 38 municipalities: collection of household and similar waste, recyclable waste, glass, batteries, textiles, cardboard from merchants in the city centre of Chambéry, management of four dumps through service providers, operation of a composting platform.
Once collected, the waste is transported to the treatment equipment, allowing waste to be sorted for material recovery (recycling), organic (composting platform) or energy recovery (incineration).
Grand Chambéry delegated waste treatment competence to the mixed union Savoie Déchets.
